Movebat® Technology

Movebat® is a flapping air propulsion technology for use in a gaseous environement, patented in Germany.

MoveBat® is neither a wing, nor a sale. It is constructed similar to a bird feather having tree elements: a rigid longitudinal beam (1) and an elastic fin (2).

How It Works

During its movement through the air or other gas environments, the MoveBat® generates propulsive force directed along the rigid longitudinal beam. This force is then transmitted from the elastic fin to the rigid beam and further to the pivotal joint. 

MATERIAL FLEXIBILITY

MoveBat® can be manufactured in a myriad of ways, from cutting, gluing, turning, casting, stamping to 3D printing, and more. It can be crafted from natural or synthetic materials in diverse proportions and configurations. 

DRIVE INDEPENDENT

Depending on specific requirements, various motors such as electric motors or different types of drives like pedal drives, hydraulic drives, or pneumatic drives can be integrated to control the size, weight, and frequency of movement of the device.
